How to be more positive & happy!
Hi!
Today I want to share things I do to keep myself happy and positive during these uncertain times! There were definitely days where I was feeling down and I'm pretty sure everybody has had one of those days in quarantine, so, if you're feeling down, keep on reading!
Things I do to be more happy! <3
- write in my journal everyday
I have a journal I love to write in everyday! It's like having a therapist but on paper. I love writing down everything that happens during the day and my feelings. It's also fun to see what I wrote about 1 year ago, and I must say, my handwriting has improved so much, haha!
- keep things clean and neat
Feeling productive makes me happy, so when I clean or organize something I feel good! Every Sunday I get everything ready for the week ahead so I can have a productive and organized week!
- take a break from social media
I love taking breaks from social media and it definitely helps me be more positive and peaceful. It also gives me time to do creative things that I don't need my phone for and I have more productive mornings.
- face time or call your family or friends
Calling my family, especially my grandparents, and hearing how they're doing makes me really happy and thankful! <3
- bake or cook something delicious
I love baking or cooking, it's definitely my favorite thing to do when I'm down or just not feeling good. I love how you measure the ingredients, mixing it, reading the recipe and tasting the end result, it's just so much fun and helps me be more happy! Except for this one time I tried to make macarons, it was a HUGE fail, haha.
- listen to music

Listening to music while doing something cheers me up a lot of times. Especially when it's music that's up beat and that I can dance to. Not going to lie, I've had quite a few dance parties in my bedroom while listening to music, haha.
I also love listening music when I do my school work!
- workout or do yoga
My mom and I started doing yoga a few months ago and it's made us more flexible and we love doing it. In the mornings we like to do about half an hour of yoga and it makes me more peaceful and makes me productive. Working out also makes me more happy and clears my mind.
- set a goal for yourself and try to reach it
Setting a goal for myself motivates me to get more done in order to complete it. So, try to set a goal for yourself that you can reach in a week or a day, like, try to get an essay done that you've been lazy to do or sort out that messy bathroom cabinet that hasn't been organized in months. I like to do things like these because it keeps me going.
