decorating our house for christmas!! blogmas post 1
Hey guys!
I have something really exciting to announce! I'll be doing blogmas! Blogmas is when bloggers post everyday from 1 ~ 25 December but I'll be posting every second day instead of everyday! So, I'll post again 3 December (Thursday) and so on! This is my first blogmas and I can't wait to start typing and posting!
In my blogmas I'll be posting blog posts that involve lots of Christmas things and vibes! I'll also post how my days go and easy crafts to make and things like that! I hope y'all are ready because this blogmas is going to be one to remember!
For my first blogmas post, I'll be showing you how we decorated the house. We decorated the house about a week ago because we were in the mood and honestly I couldn't wait till 1 Dec.
Our Christmas tree fell apart 2 years ago so we decided, instead of buying a new Christmas tree, why not do something different? We found this huge branch in our yard, cleaned it so there are no bugs, painted it a few coats of white and once it was dry we put it in a container. It turned out amazing!
When we decorated the tree, my brother was on Xmas Tree Decorating patrol because he was like, "There has to be an ornament on every branch!" and "I'll do this side, and you do that side!" It was so funny and a lot of fun to do it with him! <3
We like to buy chocolate ornaments as well, so when we want something sweet after supper we just take an ornament off the tree and eat it, haha!
I like to decorate my room as well, so I took the top part of our broken Christmas tree as a small tree for my bedroom and it looks awesome. I decided to go with a silver and gold color scheme because I feel like if I used multiple colors it would look too busy. And I added some lights which really gives me that Xmas feeling, especially at night.
We have this safety gate in our hallway so I decided to take a red garland to wrap it around the gate and I really liked how it turned out! I also put a gold one in the middle of my four cupboards.
We took the broken pieces of our old Christmas tree to make a wreath and it looks fantastic, especially against our dark brown front door!
