I'm Back + Christmas Announcement

Hello my dear readers,

It has been a while! I have had a busy past eight months filled with accomplishments and hard work. All my attention was on obtaining my high school diploma (graduated 2 July, 2024!!) and now all my energy is spent on getting my driver's license (it has been a long time coming). 

I've been wanting to get back to blogging for a while now, but I didn't know what to write about, and which recipes to share since I haven't been cooking or baking anything new.

And my blog needs a makeover.

So, I prayed and asked the Lord to give me a fun writing project. And that's exactly what He did! Let me tell you more about it. 

 I'm publishing a Christmas poem collection this December! 

That's right! Every third day from 1 December to Christmas Day I'll be publishing one poem — that's nine poems in total.🎄

I actually had this idea last year, but I didn't have enough time to write the poems and publish them in the way I would've liked. In October this year I decided to do it for Christmas 2024 and just started writing. Eventually I ended up with nine poems that I would love to share with you.

Some poems capture the Christmas spirit, some talk about recipes, and others are about the year behind us and the year ahead. I believe there is a poem for everyone in this collection. 

What is next for my blog?

I have a few ideas for what could happen next for my blog. Like I said earlier, she needs a makeover. Not plastic surgery, just a touch of mascara and lipstick. And a good trim, she's got a few split ends. 

But, one thing's for sure, I want to take this blog along every adventure I go on. For the new recipes my kitchen witnesses, the poems I write in the notes app of my phone, and every blessing God places in my life. 

I'll see where it takes me, and share it all on my blog. I can't promise a planned and organized schedule, but I want to put some effort into what I post and what this platform can look like. 

I really like what my blog has become, and I won't give it up.

I am a very different person from when I created this blog — more wise, more grown, more open-minded and more trusting now. I think my blog has grown too, and a makeover will be the perfect result of that.

So, keep an eye out towards the new year for more on that!
