6 Creative Things To Make When You're Bored
Hi everyone!
Welcome back to this week's post! This week I decided to do all things creative!
Sometimes when I'm bored I like to do something fun and creative so I compiled a list of things to do when you're bored that is fun and gets your creative juices flowing!
Let's start! ↓
6 fun, creative things to do when you're bored
make unique bookmarks
The
other day I was scrolling through Pinterest and I came across a video
on how to make a butterfly bookmark that you put on the corner of the
page.
The
first time I tried, I failed but the second time it came out perfect! I
decided to use it for my devotion book and I wrote a little reminder
for myself.
painting / drawing
This one is definitely my favorite. It's so satisfying the way a paintbrush moves over the paper as you create a painting. I like browsing through Pinterest for inspiration and I actually have a board filled with pictures to paint if you're interested - painting inspiration
Try drawing a family member or your dog if you prefer a pencil over a paintbrush (I do sometimes).
draw trash art
I saw this on Pinterest (no surprise, lol) and I fell in love with this idea. Trash art is when you make random scribbles and create something with those scribbles and it turns out super pretty and unique! I think it's a great way to get out of artist's block if you have no idea what to create.
decor for your bedroom
i took an old paintbrush, cut pieces of my old t-shirt, added some blue yarn and tied it to the paintbrush |
I've made so many things for my bedroom. I think if I took a bedroom tour I'll just say, "I made this and this and this" lol. I love making things to hang on my walls or put on my desk. So gather all your art supplies and try painting art for your walls, or make a pencil holder (tin can, paint, etc.).
book covers for school books
I love creating book covers for my school workbooks and every time I get a new workbook I like to make a different design, print it, stick it on the cover and cover it with plastic to keep it neat.
My mom used to do these types of things when we were still in school and I always helped her. I remember getting a computer (one of those box computers--I was so excited!) from my grandparents one time when they came to visit and it came with a printer and a satisfyingly loud keyboard. Anyway, I used to make covers for my school books on that computer, print them and stick them on with a huge smile. When my friends handed out our books to work in I thought about how envious they must be of my AWESOME book covers, lol.
And that's it on today's post! I'm thinking of adding something at the end of my blog post each week, like a question, verse, or quote so today I'll add an inspiring verse, next week I might add a question and so on! What do you guys think?

I hope you enjoyed the blog post (and a little story of my awesome school book covers) and I hope you have an amazing rest of your week! Stay safe!
