Face Reveal + Get To Know Me!

Welcome back this week's post! Today is a very special day because I'll be doing a face reveal!! I've thought about this for a while now and today is the day! I want to share who I am--the writer behind A Teenage Girl Dreaming Big. 

I'm very proud of my blog and I think it's time you guys get to know me, especially after 3 years of blogging! So, without further a do, let's get started!

this is me!

 

Let's start off with the basics. 

My name is Jana Blignault! I live in a cozy home in South Africa with my mom, dad and older brother, as well as my dog and 24-year-old parrot. I do school at home and I'm sixteen-years-old. My birthday is on 12 June and my favorite thing to do is to write, hence my blog. 

My favorite dish probably has pasta in it and I love white chocolate. My favorite aesthetic is cottagecore and I love fairy lights--they make a room look so beautiful and cozy.

I love songs from the '80s and '90s and right now, my favorite artists are Taylor Swift (I'm SO excited for her new upcoming album!!!) and The Weeknd. My favorite song at the moment is probably All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (From The Vault) because it's great to listen to for background music and it just a wonderful song overall. 

When I'm not writing, you'll find me in the kitchen cooking or baking something, hence all the recipes on my blog. 

I love notebooks and novels. I'll spend all night reading and I just finished reading Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty--I'll be reading the sequel pretty soon. 

I wear glasses when I read and work on my computer because I have astigmatism (which gave me so many headaches--they were awful). I'm wearing them now as I'm typing this post!

I don't like load shedding and I don't like when my brother teaches me stuff just because he knows everything (but I still love him, though). I also don't like beans, any sort of beans, and I don't like mushrooms, although, sometimes I don't mind biting into one when they're in a dish, but, when I cook for you, you won't find mushrooms in the dish. 

I love the beach and I LOVE to swim. I miss my swimming from when I was in school, especially when we had races, I think that's what I miss most. I also really enjoy running.

I used to eat two-minute noodles when my mom made pizzas for dinner but now I love pizza and I can make them from scratch. 

I love coffee, specifically cappuccinos, and rooibos tea. I love flowers because they're so beautiful, smell good and brings life to a room.

I'm a Christian and I firmly believe in God. I love learning more in my walk with God and my favorite verse is philippians 4:6. I believe that He is in control and I always feel better when I vent and talk to Him. Praying gives me a lot of peace, it's wonderful. <3

My favorite season is winter and my favorite colors are light green, light purple and dusty rose. 

I like sneakers, or being barefoot, and denim shorts all the way. Dresses are beautiful but I prefer only wearing them on special occasions. Shorts and T-shirts are what I wear everyday. 

My favorite nail polish color is white or light pink and I like to pull my hair into a messy bun or a french braid(s). 

 

And those are all the details I can think of!

I'm very excited for this post and next chapter of my blog and it's high time that I reveal who I am! As I post more blog posts, you'll get to know me in further detail and I look forward to the future of my blog. I loved typing this post and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
