Homemade Granola Bars

Welcome back to another post! Today I wanted to do a recipe about granola bars you can make at home. I think my mom found this recipe after we decided to make our own granola bars, because where I live, it's very expensive to buy them, or a bag of muesli.
This recipe is delicious and can be eaten with yogurt as breakfast or you can pack it in for lunch at work; my mom likes to pack these in for my dad for work. It also makes a great snack.

ingredients
1. 2 cups flour
2. 4 cups oats
3. 2 cups coconut flakes
4. 2 cups sugar
5. 250g (1 cup) butter
6. 5 tsp honey or syrup
7. 2 tsp baking soda

Homemade Granola Bars
ingredients
1. 2 cups flour
2. 4 cups oats
3. 2 cups coconut flakes
4. 2 cups sugar
5. 250g (1 cup) butter
6. 5 tsp honey or syrup
7. 2 tsp baking soda
method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Melt butter and honey (or syrup), and add baking soda.
- Mix flour, oats, coconut flakes and sugar together. Add honey mixture and mix well.
- Pour batter into greased oven pan and press the mixture down evenly.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes. Once done, cut into preferred sizes and let cool. When your granola bars are hard and cooled, put in closed container and enjoy!
The recipe says syrup instead of honey but, my mom and I decided to use honey because it tastes delicious. You can also eat these bars when they're warm or you can wait till they cooled down. They're also very filling and healthy.
Sometimes I like to eat one bar before my workout so I have energy.
