Hey!
This blog post is about something I thought I would never blog about and that's a moth eggs cycle on my window! I loved seeing how the eggs changed every day and thought it would make a great blog post!
I just remember one morning, waking up, opening my blinds, and seeing these small white balls on my window and I told my family about it. My brother said, those are spider eggs, that's why you keep having spiders in your room. I hate spiders, so I was terrified that these were spider eggs and the baby spiders are going to crawl all over my bedroom.
But then I googled "what are the small white eggs on my window" and found out that they're moth eggs! A moth decided to lay her eggs on my window and I was so excited! So, I took pictures every day, for 9 days, of the eggs to see how they would look in 9 days (fun fact: it takes 4 - 10 days for moth eggs to hatch).
What's interesting is that there was a dead moth on the stairs outside (close to my window) so maybe it was her eggs but it's interesting because the eggs appeared after she died.
Anyway, enjoy the cycle!

moth eggs cycle - 11 days
day 1
This is the day I saw the eggs for the first time. Sorry that the picture is a bit blurry - don't worry the quality gets better, haha.
day 2
On the second day, the eggs were still the same (the quality's a bit better though, haha).
day 3
The eggs were still the same on the third day.
day 4
On the fourth day, you can see small black dots in the eggs!
day 5
Day 5 is probably my favorite because you can see the little creatures inside!
day 6
They hatched! I was so excited, that as soon as I woke up, I opened my blinds and immediately took pictures of them. It took me a while to get a good angle so you can see it properly!
It looks like they're eating their eggs because it turns out their eggs have lots of nutrients which are good for them!
day 7
On day 7 they were still sitting around the eggs but some of them were starting to move! It was so cute to see those little legs move around my window.
day 8
On the eighth day, some of them were already gone. I remember seeing 8 moth babies in the morning, then 10 and 5 later that afternoon.
day 9
The last day! I remember seeing the last few leave the night before and on day 9, they were all gone! It was very sad, saying goodbye to my beautiful children, haha!
But honestly, it was great seeing this process happen on my window, and it was a bit sad seeing them leave!
I loved seeing these baby moths change ever yday and I hope y'all enjoyed it too! Also, don't mind my pop socket in some of the photos, I had to hold my phone close to the window because they were so small!
And that's it for this blog post! Thank you so much for reading, and I hope y'all have a wonderful week!
Bye xx
