3 Silly Things I Believed When I Was Younger Pt. 2
Hey!
Welcome to this week's post! Today I'm doing a Part 2 from last week's post of the silliest things I believed when I was younger! As a young child, not everything makes sense and so I believed things that made sense to me until I learned otherwise and today I'll be sharing more of the things my mind made me believe!
tooth fairy (more like tooth mouse)
Every time I got a loose tooth and my mom helped me pull it, I was so excited for that R20 to appear in my slipper during the night. I never believed in a tooth fairy but I believed in the tooth mouse because every time I put my tooth in my slipper, by my bedroom door, there would be money in it the next day. Until there wasn't. My mom fell asleep one night before putting the money in my slipper and the next morning I was so excited to see the money but instead saw my baby tooth right where I left it. My mom felt so bad and I can't remember how I got over it - I think my mom told me a story about how the tooth mouse was busy and he would come to fetch my tooth the next day. Fast forward a few months, my mom was looking for something and so she packed out everything in a drawer. There was a small glass jewelry box and I loved jewelry so I opened it and guess what I found...teeth! All the teeth my mom collected over the years were in there and all I did was laugh.

I remember, one time I tried to sleep with one eye open so I can see when the tooth mouse brings my money. But that didn't work because I was a pretty energetic girl that was tired from running all day.
i was supposed to be older than my brother
My birthday is the 12th of June but my brother's birthday is the 8th of July and I never understood how my brother is 3 years older than me. If my parents had me a month before my brother, how was he older? One day I asked my mom about this and she explained to me that they had my brother on July 8th, 2003 and three years later they had me on June 12th, 2006. And immediately the light bulb went on in my head, my parents had my brother three years before me but in July which is after June.

spiders at the end of my bed
I didn't sleep under my duvet for months because I had a fear of spiders climbing up the side of my bed and onto my sheets to bite my feet. I have no idea how I came to this funny conclusion but somehow I believed it and slept on my duvet, underneath a blanket, thinking that it would protect me from those terrifying spiders.

Thank you for sharing with us what your mind made you believe when you were youger. I love the part when your mum fell asleep and did not put the money in your slipper.
