4 Silly Things I Blieved When I Was Younger Pt.1
Hi!
Welcome back to this week's post! Today I felt like going back in time and explain some of the silliest things I believed when I was younger. As a young child, not everything makes sense and so I believed things that made sense to me until I learned otherwise.
I believed most of these things till I was about 9-10 years old when things didn't really add up with all my assumptions and my family explained most of the things I believed and today I want to share them with you guys!
Let's get started! ↓
real injuries in movies and tv shows
I've always loved action movies and I've watched many movies and TV shows filled with action, fighting...and injuries. I always knew the actors were acting and it wasn't real life but I didn't know that the injuries they had were also part of the act. Nope. Little me thought they were real.
Every time an actor would get shot, stabbed, or break a bone, I believed someone would injure them on set, cut the scene, rush the actors to the hospital, then doctors would perform surgery to remove the bullet or close the stab wound, close them up and let them get back to set. And I believed this all would happen in a period of one hour. So every time someone would get injured, that routine went through my head and I was amazed by how they made these movies, and the actors getting injured all the time.
Until somehow this belief was brought up in a conversation between my mom, my brother, and me, and I told them what I believed when someone gets injured in a movie or TV show. But they explained it was all acting and mom even said, "There will be no actors left if they got injured for real!"
actors would reenact trailers of movies and TV shows
You know those trailers that you watch before watching a movie or an episode of a TV show? Well, I always believed that actors first acted out the trailers and somehow perfectly reenacted the clip that was in the movie or episode. I was amazed by how perfect their acting was so I would always look at the subtitles. My brother and I watch Afrikaans TV shows and so they always have English subtitles and so I looked at each trailer's subtitles and watch them again in that next episode. And somehow one of my family members explained to me that the editors use clips from that episode that was already filmed and put it in the trailer. But I kept looking at the subtitles and they would sometimes be in different places which I found really suspicious. But I know now that editors do really use clips to make trailers.
I also believed that the episodes that came on at night were filmed and edited that exact day until I found out most TV shows have been filmed months in advance.
stuffed animal and dolls would get offended

stuffed animal and dolls would get offended
Every night before going to bed, I made sure all my stuffed animals and dolls were on the bed with me because I was afraid they would come to life at midnight, see some of their friends on the bed with me, and get really offended. So I made sure all my stuffed animals and dolls were sleeping with me. I had a cot for my baby doll and eventually, I thought, I could put some of my dolls in the cot with the baby and the rest on the side of my bed. And somehow that eased my guilt.
my family is the best family in the world
I remember how my mom would pick me up from kindergarten when I was little. My dad would also fetch me sometimes with my mom and I remember looking at them and all the other parents picking up their children and thinking my family is the best in the world. I literally thought my parents were the only amazing parents in the world, that I have the BEST mom and BEST dad but as I grew older, I learned how there are many parents just as awesome as my parents and that they're all wonderful! <3

Bye xx
I love your post telling us what you believe in when you were young. I believe there was a man in the moon at night I was staring at the moon and it was so mysterious for me.
