Having a much needed pamper day!

A few days ago I realized I need a self-care day - a relaxing day filled with things to pamper myself. It's been a LONG time since I've had a day like this because I've been busy with a few projects but this weekend seems to be a bit calmer so I'm taking you guys with me during my pamper day.
I wanted to have a day like this, not only to pamper myself but to look after myself and give myself a small break. These days are so important to me for my mental health and if you're having a hectic week that's draining your energy, feel free to follow along so we can have a self-care, pamper day together!
mornings
In the mornings of my self-care days, I like to sleep in or wake up early but this morning I decided to sleep in and only took a shower at 10:30. For breakfast, I ate Future Life's Oats breakfast packets which tasted really good (+ I was lazy to make something else, lol). After that, I made my bed and decided to take a shower.

hair - First thing I do when I shower is my hair. I like to take time with my hair when I wash it because my hair is so thick so I'll be sharing the products I use to keep it healthy!
My hair washing routine is pretty simple but keeps my hair healthy and makes it look good. First of all, I like to wet my hair completely.
Then I take about a palm-full of shampoo and massage it into my scalp, into my roots. I try my best to focus on my roots and to avoid letting the shampoo go all over my hair, which dries my hair out.
Next, I like to rinse it off thoroughly with hot water.
I changed my conditioner a few weeks ago after I realized my hair is dry and brittle and my hair has been so healthy and smooth ever since.
I like to work the conditioner through my hair and brush it out with my shower hairbrush so the conditioner goes all over my hair.
And lastly, I rinse it off super well with hot water.
body wash - I love body washes that smell good and make your skin feel smooth. My parents got me this body wash for my birthday and I've been using it every morning. And it's from my favorite brand - Oh So Heavenly.
skincare
I use this very odd-looking bar of face soap but it's my secret to smooth skin. I have dry bumps by my jawline and a bit on my cheeks so I'll wet the bar of soap very well until it makes a frothy texture in my hands then I massage it into my face going circular motions, all around my jawline, nose, cheeks, and forehead.
Fun fact - my grandmother actually gave me this soap!
Once my face is clean and dry I like to do a nose strip. My parents also got me a pack of T-zone strips which I like to use every week but today I want to do a nose strip instead of the whole T-zone. Also, for the strip to pull out as many blackheads as possible, I like to use warm water which makes it easier.
manicures & pedicure
I did my nails yesterday so today I just did a pedicure.
First off, I take off any nail polish with nail polish remover and some cotton pads. And after filling the bath with some warm water, I like to soak my feet in the water for about 5 minutes to soften my cuticles, so they're easier to work with.
After soaking my feet for about 5 minutes I take a nail file and push back any cuticles. I'll take off some nail polish as well that didn't come off with the nail polish remover.
I also take the tip of the nail file and lift the corners of my nails to avoid any ingrown toenails.
Next, I cut my toenails, to a length that's short enough but where I can still see enough white tip.
Once that's done I clean my toenails with a nail brush, then I scrub my heels with a foot scrub to soften them and I like to file my heels with a foot file to make them smooth.
After I do all of these things, I dry my feet and start my buffing routine.
First I'll file any sharp corners and then I'll buff my nails with buffing powder and a nail buffer.
And lastly, I lotion my feet to keep them soft!
food
My mom and I planned on making pizzas and they came out so good, which was the perfect meal for my pamper day - comfort food!
evenings
To finish my pamper day I decided to take a shower and use my body wash! Then I brush my teeth and lay in bed watching "Kitchen Nightmares." My brother and I also decided to watch "Johnny English Reborn."
