Gratitude

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to another blog post! While I was brainstorming ideas for my next blog post, one idea popped up in my head that I've been wanting to write about for a while now and that's gratitude.

Today I want to share how important gratitude is and a few of my thoughts on it and experiences. I believe that looking at the beauty in your life and being grateful for them really makes your day better and slowly you'll start to realize that there's a lot to be grateful for. Let's start.
Gratitude. It's a wonderful thing and can transform your life to see the beauty in everything. I think that's why I have such a positive outlook on life.

Don't get me wrong, I have my moments where I think of everything that's going wrong in my life and after that comes self-pity. Whenever that happens, I take a step back and look at all the things I should be grateful to have. For instance, food, my laptop, my blog, my health, and my family. There are people who don't have the privilege of being able to eat because of the circumstances they're in, and others may not have a warm bed to snuggle into on those cold winter nights.

Simple little things in your life might change someone else's. Every day I start off my prayer with gratitude, thanking God for everything he has blessed me with. Philippians 4:6 describes this perfectly.

These last couple of weeks a few things happened that were out of my control. Things that have a big impact on my life, but as time went on everything fell back into place and when that happened I immediately thanked God. And not only was I relieved but also incredibly grateful.

With my faith, I learned that I shouldn't only go to God when I need something or when things aren't well, I should speak to him even when nothing's wrong and just say thank you for all the good things in my life.

A wonderful way to brighten your day or mood is by naming three things you're grateful for each morning or night and slowly but surely you'll start to feel more positive and open-minded about things. You'll start to see that a bad hair day isn't so bad (although it isn't the best) and notice there are other things that you are blessed with.

I love the feeling of gratitude, knowing that what you have is a blessing and truly precious.

And that's it for this week's post! I hope you learned something valuable today and that focusing on the positives in your life and being grateful for the things you've been blessed with changes your outlook and makes your day so much better!
